Instructions for authors:

|
The Bucharest Office of the Romanian College of Physicians welcomes the publication of medical works in the Medicina Modernă (Modern Medicine) monthly journal. We prefer manuscripts of original works (more accurately, never before published, not even partially).
All works should be structured according to the following categories: editorials / interviews, general presentations, clinical overviews, original studies, diagnostic and therapeutic novelties, legal briefings, medical guidelines, scientific events, etc.
All manuscripts should be submitted electronically (via email) / by regular mail in electronic format (the whole paper, including all images, tables, etc); the manuscript should not exceed 10 pages (A4 standard), typed using the Times New Roman font, sized 10 pt., paragraph spacing: 2 lines. All manuscripts (including unpublished ones) become property of the editor and are never returned to authors.
- Manuscript title: should be provided in English and, when possible, in Romanian (exceptionally the editorial board may accept the publication of works in languages other than English or Romanian; if so, and English title should always be provided); the title should be concise (preferably <1 line).
- Authors: please specify for each author the full name, specializations, affiliations and correspondence information (a functional email address at least).
- Abstracts: each manuscript should have an abstract in English; all works published in languages other than Romanian shall also have an abstract in Romanian, translated by a member of the editorial board (based on the abstract in english); abstracts should not exceed 200-250 words.
- Keywords: each manuscript should include keywords in English (when published, the manuscript shall include keywords in Romanian, translated by a member of the editorial board, based on the keywords in English).
- Contents of the manuscript: whenever possible, abbreviations should preferably be avoided; when specifically required, all abbreviations should be explicated at the first occurrence in text; casual abbreviations should always be preferred (i.e. MI-myocardial infarction). All images, charts, tables etc shall be provided within the manuscript contents.
- Graphics: All graphics should be provided in full-color, at an acceptable quality, in electronic format; all graphic works should include legends; all charts should also include scales and measuring units (international measures preferred).
- Bibliography: all bibliographic references should best be cited in the manuscript in chronologic order (between brackets); the bibliographic references should also be listed ordered, according to the order of occurrence within the manuscript. Whenever possible, authors are invited to provide only selective references (it is advisable to avoid extremely long, confusing bibliographic references).
- The decision to publish a manuscript is unanimously made by the Editorial Board.
- Author responsibility: all authors are deemed responsible for the content and originality of submitted works, according to the principles of academic truth and honesty in obtaining and presenting results. All claims (if any) should be addressed exclusively to authors (including, but not limited to plagiarism, inaccuracies, inadvertencies, etc).
- Questionnaires: Authors interested in having their manuscripts published as part of the EMCB (online Continuing Medical Education in Bucharest) program are invited to also submit (for each manuscript) a set of five single-choice questions, each of them providing four options (only one of which being true).
We kindly remind you that authors of medical manuscripts published in CNCSIS-accredited medical journals are entitled to 30 CME credits /manuscript (valid only for physicians licensed to practice in Romania).
The manuscript review process is detailed here.
